In the two weeks since starting this blog, I’ve had more than 220 visitors…yep that many people are pissed about this issue!
So, because so many are pissed, I thought it would be cool if we got together and made a huge petition with all of our names telling everyone that we are totally not having this crap. So if you aren’t down with the trash in LA blog on this petition and when I get a ton of people I’ll send it to the city of LA!!!!!
WE are coming together to reject the following proposals brought in front of the Department of Water in Power in LA on February 11, 2005!:We reject the transportation of one million tons of trash per year which add millions of miles traveled on our already congested 14 Freeway and,
The landfills in the AV have HORRIBLE environmental standards like air quality monitoring on site!!!
The City of LA has enough space to keep their own trash for the next twenty-five years
Therefore, all of us who blog on this topic ask that City Councils of Palmdale and Lancaster adopt resolutions opposing any proposal by the City of Los Angeles to dispose of its residential solid waste in Palmdale and Lancaster Landfills and,
that before the City of LA or Palmdale or Lancaster make any decisions they hold public hearing are ALL areas that will be effected by this TRASH.
